However mean your life is,meet it and live it ;do not shun it and call it hard names.It is not so bad as you are.It looks poorest when you are richest.The fault-finder will find faults in paradise.Love your life,poor as it is.You may perhaps have some pleasant,thrilling,glorious hourss,even in a poor-house.The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the alms-house as brightly as from the rich man's abode;the snow melts before its door as early in the spring.I do not see but a quiet mind may live as contentedly there,and have as cheering thoughts,as in a palace.The town's poor seem to me often to live the most independent lives of any.May be they are simply great enough to receive without misgiving.

    A lesson from life

    One day a father took his young son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose to show him poor people can be.They spent a day and night in the farm of a very poor family.When they got back from their trip the father asked his son,How was the trip?

    very good,Dad.

    Did you see how poor people can be ?the father asked/

    Yeah!

    And what ded you learn?

    The son answered，I was that we have a dog at home,and they have four.We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden;they have a creek that has no end.We have imported lamps in the garden;they have the stars.Our patio reaches to the front yard;they have a whole horizon、

    When the little boy was finishing,his father was speechless.

    His son added,Thanks,Dad,for showing me how poor we are!

    Isn't it true that it all depends on the way you look at things?If you have love,friends,family,health,good humor and a positive attitude toward life,you've got everything!
